WASHINGTON FISHING

Get Ready for your Washington Fishing Adventure

Buzz and Erik Johnson have been fishing Washington State for decades. Washington has incredible resources for the outdoor enthusiast that's looking for salmon, steelhead, bottom fish, and halibut.  River Spring Chinook fishing runs April through June. Ocean chinook begins in July (most years) and we follow them into the estuaries and into the rivers through Nov. Coho salmon fishing begins in the ocean in July and we follow the runs through the estuaries and into the rivers.  River coho fishing usually begins in Sept. and runs through Dec. Then winter steelheading picks up and can be fabulous fishing right through March.

Washington halibut season starts in early May (most years) and can yield some nice fish with an occasional flattie weighing in at 100 pounds! Plus, the Washington coast is alive with bottom fish, like lingcod, black sea bass and oh yes, dungeness crab.

If your equilibrium prevents you from fishing in the ocean then perhaps fishing on the river is more your style. Fish from a heated 18' flat bottom sled fully equipped to target salmon and steelhead in the rivers. Beginner fisherman and experienced anglers will all get their fill while fishing with Erik or Buzz. All tackle and gear is provided on these river trips. Make a day trip out of it or fish multiple days. We can custom tailor our trips to meet anyone's needs. We can recommend nearby lodging or hotels in the local areas if you're coming from a distance to fish with us. We'll fish rivers as far south as the Columbia in May and June for spring Chinook and as far north as the Humptulips for winter steelhead and king salmon. Where ever the fish are is where we go!

If ocean fishing for chrome bright salmon during the summer is your kind of game then call Buzz and book your trip early. You'll fish on his custom built 28' aluminum charter boat. This boat is fast, comfortable and is perfect for catching four anglers there limit of salmon, bottom fish and oh yes, Dungeness crab. That's right, this isn't your average trip to the ocean on a head boat of 15 or more people. This is a personable trip where Buzz caters to each individual onboard and goes out of his way to ensure you get a chance to experience all the fisheries available if you so desire. All tackle, bait and gear is covered and you'll use only top quality equipment.
